Heat Press Success!

I completed the first heat press layout and sent it off to ArtBrands, a company in Ohio. Carla, our regional rep, has been super helpful. She recommended a product called "true color" which works on dark backgrounds. We ordered 11- 8.75" x 11.4" sheets (to meet the initial order minimum) as a well as a small craft heat press to apply the images to the clothing. In an effort to maximize the amount printed, there's a lot of cutting to do, but well worth it.

A few weeks ago, we went thrift shopping and purchased 90+ unique articles of clothing to decorate with all the various motifs we're printing.

Today, I fired up the press, and tried it out. An unsolicited passerby looking at the fat cells pressed to the black skirt, asked, "Oh, is that Jupiter?"- Proving last week's post that all these shapes and images are repeated everywhere.
