We are beginning our fabrication process with something relatively simple- designing a layout of BioArt cell images, as stripes, that will be cut and hemmed into oblong scarves. Design2Print, in NYC has a large selection of fabrics to chose from including a variety of silks. We'll be using chiffon and habotai for these first prototypes.
